Ask Colorado:  Need help with your search?  This link takes you to a live librarian who is willing, ready, and able to assist you with all of your searching needs - for FREE.  Have you heard of the "deep web?"  The bulk of information available in the internet is not accessible using a standard search engine and is rarely viewed.  To access this information you must know where to find it - Ask Colorado can help.  Best of all, you get to view part of the search process and learn about these hidden treasure troves while the librarian on duty assists you with your search!

Coloradonexus.org:  Search this database to find books owned by Rye High as well as those owned by other member libraries.  Follow the provided link and then select "Find It" located at the upper right of your screen.  To narrow the search to Rye High only, click on "Limiters."  Scroll to the bottom and check "This Library" and then select Rye High School from the drop down menu.  Click "Save."     

Ebscohost:  Contains full text articles from a wide variety of magazines and newspapers.  The animal section provides in-depth information relevant for reports.  The database also contains information about current hot topics, an encyclopedia, and health source.  This is a great resource to find authoritative information from 1975 to now.  Results are sorted by date with the most current matches appearing at the top of the list.  This paid for service can be accessed at home as well.  Please ask Mrs. Ervin for a username and password.  ryehs student

Worldbook Online:  More than an encyclopedia, this resource offers full text articles concerning a wide variety of topic areas, news, events, deaths, Surf the Ages, a dictionary, atlas, teacher and student resources, and much more.  The site is fully searchable and even links authoritative sites related to the topic in question.  Best of all, access to this site is available to all Rye students from home.  See Mrs. Ervin for a username and password.   dist70schools        r3se@rch

Media Center Events -Winners of the "Name the Coffee Shop" and/or Design a Logo were Lauren and Ty.  Great going and thanks.  Both students get a free coffee shop item every Friday.
